From March 2019 the company commenced a project in Calderstones Park, involving restoration of a café building, The Reader Café. This café is situation within a Mansion House building constructed in 1828 and is grade 2 listed.

The company were involved in the restoration and rendering of the back part of the Mansion House and café with the restoration of a roof canopy and external stone restoration.

This project proved technically difficult with the company having to deduce effective materials to be used to both adhere to heritage guidelines and to seamlessly blend with the existing building condition, testing different compositions of clay and mesh materials to bind the structure.

The company liaised with onsite architects involved in the works of the Mansion house building and deduced they could restore the canopy design using a mesh layer covered in clay to blend into the existing structure.
